It came flooding like the wind
And everything I stood for,
Glowered meek in the dark, Withering
Then, they came – The Shadows
Everything was bright then,
Under the shadow of the sun
Aye, the shadows lurked,
But far away, in another world
Waiting, Wanting, Scheming.
And the sun bore the moon
Pale and cold, it came
With its light – The Dark Moonlight.
Making Bright Shadows across
The darkening hedges of my world
‘’Come Hither’’ it beckoned me
And I, like a moth drawn to the light,
Am drawn to the shadows –
The Dark Shadows.
It cocooned me in its embrace
And there, laid my corpse to rest,
Peaceful n Serene
Under the Darkening Light
Of the Bright Shadows..

She made a name for her native place, but her colour changed
